Dear family, My deepest sympathy goes out to you at the loss of Rose's physical presence in your/our lives. My heartfelt joy is shared by you, I know, as we celebrate her: her long life, her gifts, her example, her own joy in living. The first two adjectives that came to me after reading Arbutus's email informing me of her mother's passing were: sweet and spunky. There is no contradiction there. She was a gentle being with an inner strength. May the loving thoughts and prayers of all of us who were blessed to know Rose and your memories of her sustain and nurture you through the days ahead.
