We pride ourselves on pricing all of our services fairly. We don't believe in overcharging traditional funeral customers and undercharging cremation customers simply because cremation customers often times are more price conscience. If you’re shopping around, we believe you'll find our traditional service charges to be lower than most other funeral homes. Also be sure the price you’re quoted includes everything that we include. Some funeral homes advertise low prices but then use high pressure sales tactics to get you to buy additional products and services. We’re not salesmen, we’re funeral directors. We're not going to try to sell you something you don't want or need. We believe in being open and honest about our pricing.
Some expect our charges to be higher given we offer more services than our competitors, our level of professionalism, the quality of our facilities and our ethical standards. Consumers and families finally can learn first hand that there is a difference in the service we provide and they do not need to fall into the trap of traditional loyalty many funeral homes attempt to count on. Today, being good is not good enough. We trust that this service will give you one more reason to give the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services serious consideration when seeking a funeral home that is pro-actively working towards providing you the highest standards of services and facilities while offering sensible and affordable solutions. We can even assist you with financing, if necessary. You can click here to see what many of the families we have served have to say about us.
When compared to other major life cycle events, like births and weddings, funerals are not that expensive. A wedding costs at least three times as much; but because it is a happy event, wedding costs are rarely criticized. A funeral home is a 24-hour, labor-intensive business, with extensive facilities and equipment (visitation rooms, merchandise selection rooms, lounges, offices, parking lots, automobiles, etc.), these expenses and numerous other administrative costs must be factored into the overall cost of a funeral. Moreover, the cost of a funeral includes not only merchandise, like caskets, urns and burial vaults, but the services of a funeral director in making arrangements with grieving family members; filing appropriate forms; contacting doctors, ministers, florists, newspapers and others; and seeing to all the necessary details of planning and directing a funeral. Of course, a funeral director must also care for the deceased through embalming, restoration and cosmetology. Contrary to popular belief, funeral homes are largely family-owned with a modest profit margin.
We are pleased to provide you with a full disclosure of our professional service charges. A list of funeral costs is mandated by the Federal Trade Commission. Every funeral home is required to make this list, called a General Price List, available upon request for comparison by the consumer. However, funeral homes are not required to disclose prices on their websites, therefore many do not. We feel we have nothing to hide. That's why we have chosen to show our prices here as well as on our merchandise page. Because comparing prices can be confusing, we invite you to
