Visiting the Tennessee Cousins

I am the youngest son of Frank's sister Elizabeth.  My best summer memories as a child always revolve around the trips made by Uncle Frank and his family down to see us in the Great Smokey Mountains.  It was an event that was always looked forward to with great anticipation.  It meant a house full of cousins that were always ready for whatever scheme could be hatched up.  Aunt Mary and Uncle Frank always brought delicacies from up north unheard of in these parts.  At least half the trunk was taken up by loaves of Italian bread that they knew I loved.  The visit always meant a trip to Gatlinburg to see the sights.  Uncle Frank loved having a good time with all us kids and I honestly can't picture him without a smile on his face.  The things that put a smile on our faces always put a smile on his as well.  The summer the Pero's stopped by on their way back from Disneyworld was particularly memorable.  I think I heard more stories about the wonders of Disneyworld from Uncle Frank than I did from Frankie, Annette, Kathy, or Tommy!  When I think about the kind of father I want to be for my children, I think about my Uncle Frank.  I love you all and I wish I could be there with you.  Mike
