WALYLKO – Raymond E. Sr., 77, Indiana, Pa., formerly of Johnstown, passed away Feb. 15, 2015, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born Sept. 13, 1937, in Johnstown, son of George and Susanna (Galesky) Walylko. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Thomas Walko; and brother-in-law, Robert Carbaugh. Survived by wife, Janet (Partsch) Walylko, Johnstown; sons, Raymond Jr., and wife, Tess; and David, and wife, Lorie, both of Johnstown; daughters, Maxine, married to Dave Wise, Buchanan, Va.; and Loretta, married to Wally Patton, Johnstown; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Brother of Maxaline, married to James Pinelli; George Walko, and wife, Susanne; and Marian Carbaugh, all of Johnstown; and Virginia, married to William Varner, South Carolina. Also survived by sister-in-law, Anna May Walko, Johnstown. Former owner of Ray’s Nurseries for 31 years. Ray loved his family, friends, his dogs and the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping. His love of nature was a God-given talent for his artistic ability. Without a doubt, his greatest gift was his passion for propagating rhododendrons and azaleas in his greenhouse work. Viewing will be held from 1 p.m. until time of service at 4 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, the Rev. Brian Simmons, presiding.
