I have known Esther my entire life. I have spent time at her house and enjoyed eating her delicious pies. She has sewn sashes for my Wednesday night's childrens club for many years. She would never take any money for the material or her sewing. I know that she loved to work in the nursery with the babies and toddlers. She was a hard worker and a faithful Christian for many years. I will miss seeing her in church every service. I know that she is in heaven with Jesus, my Dad (Pastor Ickes), and many other faithful believers.  I will see you someday, Esther!  Thanks for your faithful service to the Lord! She is "in glory" now. That was the phrase that she used when her husband Clair died-very true words.  I will be praying for the family as they grieve the loss of someone special!
