Beatrice I.  Eash (Blough)
EASH – Beatrice I. (Blough), 92, passed away March 27, 2014, at Laurel View Village, Davidsville, where she was a resident for the past 17 years. Born Sept. 19, 1921, in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, daughter of Stephen and Effie (Sala) Blough. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 61 years, Dorsey E., on Feb. 12, 2002; an infant sister; sisters, Betty Shaffer and Margaret Updyke; brother, Virgil Blough; and son-in-law, Leon Thomas. Survived by children, Kathleen Thomas, Davidsville; Carolyn, married to Lee Pickler, Brunswick, Ohio; and Karen Eash, Bedford; grandchildren, Debra Lamberson, Joann Thomas, Marcia Martin, Jennifer Helmuth and Leif Helmuth; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, MacKenzie and Landan Thomas; Benjamin, Connaley and Zachary Martin; and Sam Roth and Victoria Gordon; sisters, Virginia Gindlesperger, Richland; and Almeda Lohr and Martha Beener, both of Jenner Township; brother, Franklin, married to Mona (Jones), Davidsville; sisters-in-law, Beulah, married to Owen Hershberger, Davidsville; and Dorothy Eash, Davidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Kaufman Mennonite Church, Davidsville, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the women’s sewing circle. Viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kaufman Mennonite Church, the Rev. Wes Yoder and the Rev. Keith Yoder, presiding. Interment, Blough Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Beatrice’s memory may be sent to Laurel View Village Caring Fund, 2000 Cambridge Drive, Davidsville, Pa. 15928.
