Life Story for Beatrice I. Eash (Blough)

EASH – Beatrice I. (Blough), 92, passed away March 27, 2014, at Laurel View Village, Davidsville, where she was a resident for the past 17 years. Born Sept. 19, 1921, in Conemaugh Township, Somerset County, daughter of Stephen and Effie (Sala) Blough. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 61 years, Dorsey E., on Feb. 12, 2002; an infant sister; sisters, Betty Shaffer and Margaret Updyke; brother, Virgil Blough; and son-in-law, Leon Thomas. Survived by children, Kathleen Thomas, Davidsville; Carolyn, married to Lee Pickler, Brunswick, Ohio; and Karen Eash, Bedford; grandchildren, Debra Lamberson, Joann Thomas, Marcia Martin, Jennifer Helmuth and Leif Helmuth; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, MacKenzie and Landan Thomas; Benjamin, Connaley and Zachary Martin; and Sam Roth and Victoria Gordon; sisters, Virginia Gindlesperger, Richland; and Almeda Lohr and Martha Beener, both of Jenner Township; brother, Franklin, married to Mona (Jones), Davidsville; sisters-in-law, Beulah, married to Owen Hershberger, Davidsville; and Dorothy Eash, Davidsville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of Kaufman Mennonite Church, Davidsville, where she taught Sunday school and was a member of the women’s sewing circle. Viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m. Sunday at Kaufman Mennonite Church, the Rev. Wes Yoder and the Rev. Keith Yoder, presiding. Interment, Blough Mennonite Cemetery.
