Life Story for Robert L. Shaulis

Robert L.  Shaulis
Robert L. Shaulis, 83, Boswell (Jenner Township), went peacefully with the Lord on Jan. 24, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Son of Earl and Stella (Daniels) Shaulis. Preceded in death by parents; first wife Doris (Roddy) Shaulis; grandson Bob Harmel; brothers, William and Richard; and sister Louise Pritts. Survived by loving wife of 25 years, Carol (Ryniak) Vinisky-Shaulis; daughters, Beverly married to Carl Benson, Peninsula, Ohio, and Kimberly married to Jim Harmel, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; step-children, Joe Vinisky who resided with and cared for Bob, and Joan (Vinisky) married to Scott Pritts, Boswell; grandson Shawn Shaulis and wife Tina, Peninsula, Ohio; great-grandsons, Bobby Harmel and Shawn Shaulis; sisters Esther Roberts, Boswell, and Fern Whipkey, Berlin; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws; and special neighbor Georgine Suder and her children Tyler and Austin. Bob retired in 1985 from Ford Motor Co. in Walton Hills, Ohio. He spent his retirement years helping at Beam Cemetery and making maple syrup with Frank Bocsy. Member of Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle, Jennerstown. He enjoyed reading his Bible, praying, trout fishing, hunting, riding his snowmobile and making his own maple syrup. Bob was a friend to all he met. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service 11 a.m. Monday at Laurel Hill Gospel Tabernacle with Pastor Gary Anderson presiding. Interment Beam Cemetery, near Gray.
