SZEWCZYK – Kathryn B. (Baraniak), 88, Boswell, died July 17, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born Aug. 13, 1921, in Boswell, daughter of Edward and Mary (Nymick) Baraniak. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Edward C., on March 26, 1991; and brother, Paul. Survived by children, Edward V., Somerset; Linda K. Kopec, and friend, Tom Kane, Walpole, Mass.; and Martha L., married to Dennis Leyman, Boswell; grandson, Jason M. Villa, married to former Tara Say, Leechburg, Pa.; great-grandsons, Cole and Tyler Villa; stepgrandchildren, Richard Leyman, and wife, Jami, and Kenneth Leyman, and wife, Kristy, both of Bridgeton, N.J.; stepgreat-grandchildren, Austin, Garrett, Kayleigh and Kyia Leyman; Sister of Joseph S., married to former Kathryn Tasin, Boswell; Mary Jane, married to Gene Neal, Hilliard, Ohio; and Edward S., Grand Prairie, Texas; godchild, Adrian Wagner, Champion; and numerous nieces and nephews. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish, where she was a longtime member of the choir. Also a member of the Four Seasons Ladies Club and the Somerset County Voter Hall of Fame for voting 50 consecutive years in the general election. She was a former garment worker and employee of Sheftic Amusement Co., Boswell. Kathryn enjoyed going to dances with her husband, gardening and working in her yard. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where a vigil for the deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday at All Saints Church, Boswell, the Rev. Father Justin A. Ratajczak, OFM, Conv., celebrant. Committal, St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Boswell.
