Life Story for Julia M. Lesca (Crusco)

LESCA – Julia M. (Crusco), 94, Boswell, died Jan. 30, 2010, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 10, 1915, in Jenners, daughter of Angelo and Mary (Costanga) Crusco. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 54 years, Genesio “James” Lesca, on March 21, 2000; sisters, Catherine “Katie” Crusco, Madeline Codispoti, Rose Estevez, Mildred Alvarez and Carmella Crusco; and brothers, Robert and Arthur. Survived by sisters, Elizabeth Jarosick and Martha Jarosick, with whom Julia resided; and brothers, Joseph and Lewis, both of New York City. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and special neighbor and pal, Ronnie Smith. Retired chefs assistant for several restaurants in New York city. She enjoyed crafting and knitting. Member of St. Theresa Catholic Church, Woodside, N.Y. She was the oldest charter member of Boswell Lodge 1780 Sons of Italy. Viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be held at noon Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell, the Rev. Father Justin A. Ratajczak, OFM Conv., celebrant. Committal, Mount Carmel Cemetery, near Jennerstown.
