PENROD – David A., 63, Keysertown Road, Boswell, died Oct. 22, 2010, at In-Touch Hospice House of Journey’s Rest, Somerset. Born Oct. 6, 1947, in Johnstown, son of the late Thomas and Helen (Felix) Penrod. Survived by wife of 41 years, the former Beverly Wirick; children, Cory Knorr, Boswell; Wendy, married to Ben Straka, Katy, Texas; and Jeri Penrod, married to Tabitha Cantrell, Boswell; grandchildren, Nicholas, Alexandria, Bradley and Chloe; brothers, Roger, Windber; Calvin, Kenneth Sr., Thomas, Dwayne Kim and W. James Penrod, all of Johnstown; stepbrother, Charles Sowerbrower, Kettering, Ohio; sisters, Sharon Peterson, Johnstown; and Linda Snyder, Fort Myers, Fla.; stepmother, Beverly “Sis” Penrod, Johnstown; brother-in-law, Raymond Wirick, Manassas, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1965 graduate of Johnstown High School. A U.S. Navy veteran of Vietnam War. Retired employee of Xerox Corp.
