Beatrice D. "Bea"  Nicklow
NICKLOW - Beatrice “Bea” D., 92, The Patriot, Somerset, formerly of Acosta, died June 23, 2010, at The Patriot. Born June 20, 1918, in Acosta, daughter of John Elmer and Mary Belle (Ogline) Nicklow. Preceded in death by parents; brothers: Wilbert, John and Robert Nicklow; sisters: Edna and Lottie Stiffler, Margaret Avery, Naomi Russell, Alma Meyers, Betty Ash and Mary Louise Nicklow and fiance Francis Beal who was killed in a mining accident. Bea was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Retired seamstress with former Dorfman & Hoffman Garment Factory, Boswell. Member of the Acosta Church of God. She enjoyed traveling and doing word search puzzles. Viewing from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where a service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Gary W. Anderson presiding.
