Carol D.  Salley (Darr)
SALLEY - Carol D. (Darr), 74, St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Hyasota and Davidsville, passed away unexpectedly August 30, 2017 at Largo Medical Center, Largo, FL. Born June 7, 1943 in Somerset. Daughter of Frank C., Jr. and Helen (Schrock) Darr. Preceded in death by parents and husband of 40 years Richard A. Salley on March 27, 2003. Survived by children Richele “Ricki” married to John L. Garrety, Seminole, FL and Joel A. Salley married to Jenise (Smits), Lithia, FL; grandchildren Nichole married to Alex Lopez, Jamie Gennett, Jenna, Joslyn and Jayla Bouche’ and Jade and Jimmy Hickey; great-grandchildren Jaiden Bouche’ and Nat Lopez. Sister of Barry Darr married to Lynn (Weister), Somerset; Peggy married to Dwight “Whitey” Gardner, Gray and Shelley Darr married to Metta (Mostoller), Gray. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A 1961 graduate of JBJ Joint High School, Boswell where she was a majorette in the band. She also participated with the Somerset County Tam O’Shanters. Formerly employed by the FAA, Washington, DC and Conzatti’s Restaurant, Boswell. A retired employee of Wal-Mart, Johnstown. Former member of Mt. Laurel United Church of Christ, near Gray. Currently a member of St. Pete Vinyard Church, St. Petersburg, FL. In her spare time, Carol enjoyed playing Canasta. Viewing from 2-4 & 6-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a service will be held 11AM Wednesday with Rev. Dr. Joseph M. Beer presiding.
