Obituary for Glenn E. Shepard Sr.

SHEPARD – Glenn, E., Sr., 84, Boswell, died February 16, 2017 at home. Born September 23, 1932 in Emoryville, WV. Son of Thomas C. and Virgie May (Aronhalt) Shepard. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 61 years, former Angie Donia on July 3, 2014; son Glenn E., Jr. on April 11, 2013 and sister Mabel. Survived by children Dianna Shepard, Peggy Magazzu, Regina Farence, Mary Jo Coughenour and Steven Shepard; 10 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and numerous in-laws. Brother of Samuel, Bernard, Jerry, Patsy Babs, Thelma and Janet, all of West Virginia. Retired employee of former D.W. Rhoads Co. and Woy Plumbing, both of Somerset. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. At Glenn’s request there will be no visitation. However, family and friends are invited to a Funeral Mass at 10AM Monday at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell with Rev. Fr. John Voytek, OFM, Conv., celebrant. Committal Mt. Carmel Cemetery with military honors by Somerset County Honor Guard. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Boswell.
