SMITH - Ernie J., 64, of Boswell, died May 18, 2016, at home. Born May 28, 1951, in Somerset, son of Aldwin & Ruth (Ohler) Smith. Preceded in death by parents and brother, Edwin, July 2, 2014. Survived by wife of 44 years, the former Belle Hammer; daughter, Shannon (Smith), married to Eduardo Alfaro, Latrobe; grandchildren, Austin and Asher; sister, Donna, married to John Neuhoff, Jenner Twp.; sister-in-law, Connee L. (Fulton) Smith, Friedens; nieces, Gretchen, married to Bob Harriman, Hooversville; and Tiffany Smith, Florida; and nephews, Brian Neuhoff and wife, Jenifer, South Carolina; and Jeremy Smith and wife, Kimmie, Florida. Also survived by several grandnieces and grandnephews. He was a graduate of the former Jenner-Boswell High School. Retired employee of the Somerset Hospital. Served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. No visitation or service. Arrangements in charge of the Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Boswell. Memorials to the In-Touch Hospice, P. O.
