Harry H. "Hap"  Miller Jr.
MILLER - Harry H. "Hap" Jr., 84, Thomas Mills, died March 28, 2016, at Windber Hospice. Born Dec. 18, 1931, in Edie, son of Harry H. Sr. and Emma Jane (Hochard) Miller. Preceded in death by parents, stepmother, Elizabeth (Stemly) Miller; brother, Russell Miller; sister, Betty Friedline; and infant sister, Shirley Ellen Miller. Survived by wife of 63 years, Emma Jane (Fochtman) Miller; children, Robert, and wife, Amy, Johnstown; David, and wife, Cathy, Thomas Mills; Cindy, married to Michael Bearer; Jim Thorpe; and John, and wife, Karen, Johnstown; 10 grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter on the way; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; sister, Matilda "Tillie," married to Arthur Small, Sacramento, Calif.; and special friend, Tom Laney, Thomas Mills. A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. A retired employee of the Johnstown Tribune-Democrat. Member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, Richland; Jerome Sportsmen's; Jenner Rod & Gun Club; Ferndale Sportsmen's; and New Baltimore Sportsmen's. Hap enjoyed hunting and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thank you to Windber Hospice and Good Sam 6th floor for all the wonderful care he received. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Richland, the Rev. Dave Streets, presiding. Interment, Richland Cemetery, with military honors by Menoher Post 155 VFW Ritual Team. Donations in Harry's memory may be sent to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963.
