Obituary for Mary S. Piper (Mikolich)

PIPER - Mary S. (Mikolich), 69, Jennerstown, died Oct. 27, 2015, at home. Born June 4, 1946, in Somerset, daughter of Joseph Sr. and Anna (Lyzbicki) Mikolich. Preceded in death by father; and husband of 22 years, Robert L. Piper, who died March 14, 2013, and formerly had operated Pipers Custom Golf for many years. Survived by sons: Chris Walker, married to Adrienne (Patton), Somerset, Michael Walker at home, and Gary Lee Walker, married to Teresa (Rogers), Acosta; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Sister of Barbara, married to Bill Rosner, Washington, Pennsylvania, Joseph Jr., married to Margaret Kubas, Boswell, Wanda, married to Larry Yokopenic, Latrobe, Karl, married to Donna Baraniak, Boswell, Patty, married to Robert Lottig, Jenner Township, and Sheila, married to Patrick Ryan, Missouri. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mary was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother who was always a willing chauffeur for her family. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of service 7 p.m. Friday at the Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Pastor Cletus E. Leasure officiating.
