Obituary for Muriel E. Ketcham (Griffith)

KETCHAM, Muriel E. (Griffith), 91, Burlington, VT, died October 9, 2015 in Hooversville at the home of her daughter, Sharon. Born May 10, 1924 in Syracuse, NY. Daughter of Albert and Gladys (Elmore) Griffith. Preceded in death by parents and husband William F. Ketcham. Survived by children Sharon married to Eric Nelson, Hooverville, PA; Robert and wife Toni, Lake Ariel, PA; Richard and wife Deborah, Westford, VT; and William and wife Robin, Endicott, NY; 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. During WWII, Muriel worked for Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, NY where she met her husband. She catered events for the Klifa Club in Burlington for many years. She liked spending time camping, fishing and boating with her husband and sewing and gardening. Following cremation, a graveside service will be held at a later date at Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Randolph Center, VT. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963.
