BUTCHKO– Rose M. (Marone), 92, Hollsopple, died Aug. 29, 2015, at LaurelWood Care Center, Westmont. Born Feb. 11, 1923, in Hollsopple, daughter of John and Josephine (Olivera) Marone. Preceded in death by parents; husband, John M., on March 21, 2014; son, Lance Cpl. John A. Butchko, who died in 1976 while serving in the Marine Corp.; grandson, Michael N. Kovach; brothers, Frank, Vito and Anthony Marone; sisters, Jennie Antenucci and Ida Marone; sisters-in-law, Catherine, Verna and Sophie Marone; and brother-in-law, Frank Antenucci. Survived by children, Martin J., married to Henrietta (Bucci), Johnstown, and Juliana M., married to Nicholas Kovach, Jenners; grandchildren, Jennifer and Anthony Butchko; Allyson (Butchko), married to Ron Cygnarowicz; and Carolyn Kovach; great-grandchildren, Sophie and Grant Cygnarowicz; and sister, Mary, married to Samuel Mazzarese. A 1942 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Lifelong member and Eucharistic minister for St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville, where she was a member and past president of the Sacred Heart Society and St. Anne Ladies Guild. Auxiliary member of Legion of Mary. Member of Conemaugh Township Democrat Club. Former volunteer and auxiliary member of Laurel View Village. Rose enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Viewing from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne Catholic Church, with the Rev. Father Martin Cingle, celebrant. Committal, St. Anne Cemetery, Hollsopple.
