Clarence W. "Junction"  Stevanus Jr.
STEVANUS – Clarence W. “Junction” Jr., 87, Jerome, died Aug. 14, 2015, at his home. Born Nov. 26, 1927, in Jerome, son of Clarence Sr. and Esther (Sheets) Stevanus. Preceded in death by parents; wife of 53 years, Alvera R. (Fortini) Stevanus, on Jan. 12, 2007; son, Bruce Richard Stevanus; sister, Audrey Cullers, and her husband, Olles; and sisters-in-law, Betty (Passero) Stevanus and Mary (Fortini) Martnshin, and her husband, John. Survived by daughters, Sharon E. Stevanus, Johnstown; Cynthia M., married to Joseph J. Sell, Hollsopple; and Barbara L., married to Wayne E. Adams, Davidsville; grandsons, Michael Sell; Joseph Sell, and fiancee, Melissa; and Connor Adams; great-granddaughters, Ava and Emersen; brother, Paul, and wife, Angie (Passero) Stevanus, Clinton, Md.; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1946 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. A U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp., Johnstown. Member of the former Jerome Church of the Nazarene, Jerome Nest 556 Polish Falcons, Jerome Post 802 American Legion, Jerome Sportsmen’s and Jenner Rod & Gun Club. Clarence was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. A private family viewing and service will be held. Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville. In lieu of flowers, donations in Clarence’s memory may be sent to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, Pa. 15963.
