Gerald A. "Jerry"  Kiss
KISS – Gerald A. “Jerry,” 78, Jenner Township, died Aug. 11, 2015, at In Touch Hospice House. Born Aug. 10, 1937, in Windber, son of the late Paul and Pauline (Zortea) Kiss. Survived by wife of 44 years, the former Antionette Pacifico; daughter, Christine, married to Jeff Berry, Front Royal, Va.; son, Matthew, Wexford, Pa.; granddaughters, Grace Christine Berry and Lena Marie Berry; and brother, Thomas, and wife, Elaine, Bedford, Ohio. Jerry was a 1955 graduate of Windber High School and a member of All Saints Catholic Parish. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran (SAC) from 1956-1960. Past employee of the former Bethlehem Steel Corp. and Volkswagen of America. He retired in January 2000 after 12 years of service with Ford Stamping Plant, Walton Hills, Ohio. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and especially loved fishing for blue gills at Deep Creek, Maryland. He also enjoyed gardening, working outdoors, electronics and Do-It-Yourself (DIY) projects. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Deacon Jay Pyle. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at All Saints Chapel, Acosta, the Rev. Father Martin Cingle, celebrant. Committal, Mt. Carmel Cemetery, with graveside military rites accorded by Somerset County Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to In Touch Hospice, P.O. Box, 1173, Somerset, Pa. 15501, or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 1100 Liberty Ave., Suite E201, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15222.
