JONES – Jason M. “Jonesy,” 34, Hollsopple, died unexpectedly March 29, 2015. Born July 5, 1980, in Johnstown. Survived by parents, Robert “Bubs” and Ondrea (Gindlesperger) Jones, Hollsopple; and brother, Ryan Jones, married to Jaime (McAuliffe), Tire Hill. Devoted and loving father to River Jones. Also survived by girlfriend, Jamie Thomas, Hollsopple; maternal grandparents, Dwight “Whitey” and Linda (Kaufman) Gindlesperger, Tire Hill; paternal grandmother, Dolly (Thomas) Andrews, Hollsopple; aunts and uncles, Tammy, married to Michael Lupinetti, Macungie, Pa.; Jack Jones, married to Sharon (Kuzma), Hollsopple; Rodney Jones, married to Jeanne (Krassnoski), Hollsopple; Kathy (Jones), married to Gary Hoffman, Davidsville; and Brian Jones, and wife, Joanna, Pittsburgh; and numerous cousins, great-aunts and great-uncles. A 1998 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School and a graduate of Vale Tech. He was employed at Laporta’s Bar in Hyasota. Member of Stahl Mennonite Church, Hollsopple Post 8861 VFW and Jenner Rod & Gun Club. Jason loved nothing more than spending time with his son, River, and family and friends. He was an avid fisherman. He also enjoyed hunting with his pet dog, Beez. A dedicated coach to River’s little league baseball team. Jason was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. He also liked the New York Yankees. Viewing will be held from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Viewing also from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stahl Mennonite Church, 1201 Soap Hollow Road, Johnstown, Pastor Bob Brown, presiding.
