Life Story for Ruth E. Krouse (Spangler)
KROUSE – Ruth E. (Spangler), 94, Siemon’s Lakeview Manor, Somerset, formerly of Boswell, died Jan. 7, 2015, at the manor. Born May 14,1920, in Quemahoning Township, Somerset County, daughter of Milton and Ethel (Lease) Spangler. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Paul E., on Feb. 11, 1973; infant daughter, Diane; son, Richard; grandson, Daniel Krouse; and sisters, Evelyn Spangler and Alice Fulton. Survived by sons, David, married to Vida (Geisel), Windber; Andrew, married to Laura (Durand), Hooversville; Philip, married to Marlene (Rininger), Acosta; and Timothy, married to Karen (Pugh), Jenners; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and daughter-in-law, Bonnie Krouse, Jennerstown. A 1939 graduate of Stoystown High School. Former employee of Children’s Aid Home, Somerset. Member of New Life Church of the Nazarene, Boswell. Ruth was an avid doll collector. She was a very kind and humble person who will be missed by all those who knew her. Viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Viewing also will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday at New Life Church of the Nazarene, Pastor Nathan P. Zipfel, presiding. Interment, Lutheran Cemetery, Jennerstown. Donations in Ruth’s memory may be sent to New Life Church of the Nazarene, 878 Main St., Boswell, Pa. 15531.
