Russell J. "Rusty"  Paruch
PARUCH – Russell J. “Rusty,” 65, Somerset Pike, was pronounced dead Sept. 8, 2014, at home. Born Feb. 24, 1949, in Johnstown, son of Joseph and Ann (Horner) Paruch. Preceded in death by father; stepfather, Virgil L. Hart; infant brother, Daniel Hart; and sister, Nancy Dittmer. Survived by mother, Ann Paruch-Hart, Boswell; sister, Sharon, married to Eric Crane, Boswell; and brothers, Tom Paruch, married to Shirley Thomas, Maryland; and David “Rudy” Paruch, married to Rosemarie Layton, Jenners. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and special uncle, Jack Horner, Richland. Rusty was a Marine Corps veteran of the Vietnam War and was a receipient of the National Defense, Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign medals. A 1969 grauate of North Star High School and was a retired area coal miner. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell.
