THOMAS – Daniel R. “Boone,” 52, Hollsopple, died Sept. 8, 2014. Born June 8, 1962, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by mother, Ruth A. “Dolly” (Mills) Thomas. Survived by father, Robert H. Thomas; sister, Bonnie L., married to James Mikula; brother, Edward Thomas; son, Justin Thomas, and fiancee, Janet Reese; daughter, Megin Thomas, and boyfriend, Corey Weyand; fiancee, Chyerl Smith, and her children, Matthew Smith and Amy, married to Doug Swick; grandchildren, Amber, Dakota, Ryan and Travis Thomas; Kaylin and Sarah Weyand; and Madison, Wyatt and Rylie Swick; niece, Jennifer, married to Shane Bimeal; special friends, Mike McClarren and Gary Hoffman; and beloved pet dog, Zoey. Member of Quemahoning Rod & Gun Club. Dan was a dedicated outdoorsman and avid hunter. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was well loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family would like to thank all those who assisted in searching for Dan while he was missing. Viewing will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville, where service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Pastors Phillip King and Russell Peruso, presiding.
