Life Story for Nicholas D. Steinkirchner

Nicholas D.  Steinkirchner
STEINKIRCHNER – Nicholas D., 32, Jennerstown, died Sunday, July 20, 2014, in Brevard County, Fla. Born Aug. 17, 1981, in Austin, Texas. Preceded in death by mother, Elizabeth A. (Hinton) Cagle, in 2012; grandfather, Russell F. Steinkirchner, in 1985; grandmother, C. Jean (Knight) Steinkirchner, in 2002; and uncle, Dennis F. Steinkirchner, in 1964. Survived by father, Dale R. Steinkirchner, Jennerstown; daughter, Julie N. Steinkirchner, Westmont; son, Desmond N. Steinkirchner, Hixson, TN; and sister, Denise N. Steinkirchner, and her significant other, Chris Stutzman, Salisbury. Also survived by three half brothers and one half sister. Nick attended North Star School District, where he excelled in every sport in which he participated. He was member of St. Paul Presbyterian Church, Somerset, where he was employed as a facilities manager. Nick also worked for Sonrise Counseling Ministries, Somerset, as a youth director. The family would like to thank Pastor Mike Dunlap who had been Nick’s mentor and teacher. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 409 Main St., Boswell. Memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Friday at St. Paul’s Church, Somerset, Pastor Michael A. Dunlap, officiating. Interment, Somerset County Memorial Park at the convenience of the family.
