Darla L. Rummel (Alberter)
RUMMEL – Darla L. (Alberter), 73, Johnstown, died April 8, 2014, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Feb. 4,1941, in Johnstown, daughter of Joseph and Harriet (Hayes) Alberter. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Francis Alberter; and sisters, Esther Gratchen, Ethel Bombatch and Goldie Rayner. Survived by husband of 53 years, Darrel J.; children, Frank; Harriet, married to Jeff Todaro; Michelle, married to Ron Green; and Kasey Wylie, all of Johnstown; grandchildren, Ryan, Caitlin, Cassandra, Celina, Corey, Melody, Taylor and Amber; five great-grandchildren; sisters, Betty Jo, married to Robert Ashcom, Clyde, Pa.; and Jeannie Mora, Murrysville; and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1959 graduate of Johnstown High School. Owner of the former Rummel’s Pie World, Johnstown. Darla was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother. A private family service will be held. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Davidsville. Interment, Grandview Mausoleum.
