McTONIC – William A., 85, Jerome, died November 19, 2020 in Monroeville Wellness & Rehabilitation Center. Born April 25, 1935 in Johnstown. Son of Joseph and Helen (Shaffer) McTonic. Preceded in death by parents; wife, former Patricia C. Harmon, July 3, 2003 and brother Donald. Survived by children; William B., married to Dolly Fleegle; Kimberly C., married to Michael Rose; David L; Cindy A, married to Tim Stogsdill ; Steven C. and numerous grand, great & great great grandchildren. Brother of Phyllis Ickes and Patricia Witt. A 1953 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, Davidsville. Retired truck driver having received numerous safe driving awards. Was the recipient of a gold tie clip presented to him by President Bush when Bill was 70 years old. The presentation at the White House was in honor of Bill’s grandson, Marine Cpl. Cory McTonic’s retirement from both the Marines and his assignment to the presidential detail at Camp David. A private graveside at Maple Spring Cemetery, Jerome.
