Obituary for William D. "Bill" Kotch

KOTCH - William D. “Bill”, 80, Boswell, died July 30, 2022 at his home. Born May 16, 1942 in Windber. Son of John and Anna (Marion) Kotch. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Joan E. (Seganos) Kotch on June 15, 2014; grandson, Michael Kotch, Jr.; sister Rose Marie Hersh and brother Joseph Kotch. Survived by children, Annamarie married to John Repko, Windber; Caroline married to Stair Jarvis, Westmont; Barbara married to Kevin Phenicie, Jerome; Michael Kotch, Lancaster and Dorothy married to Fred Mitchell, Allentown; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; brother, John, Windber; sisters, Margaret Byers, Windber and Sister Maria Kotch, Cresson; sister-in-law Loretta Kotch, Windber; good friend Clyde Lepley and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the PA Army National Guard. A former local coal miner and retired employee of Burnham Corp., Lancaster. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish in Boswell, UMWA and Stoystown American Legion. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed building jigsaw puzzles. Viewing from 6-8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a Vigil for the Deceased will be held Tuesday evening. Funeral Mass 2PM Wednesday at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell with Rev. Fr. Aron Maghsoudi, Celebrant. Committal Mt.
