DelSignore-Thomas - Victoria Lee (Pronesti), 87, Boswell, died October 26, 2019 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Born Decemeber 19, 1931 in Newark, NJ. Daughter of Joseph “Josie” and Ethel (Fuller) Pronesti. Preceded in death by parents; 1st husband, Anthony Joseph DelSignore, December 18, 1959; 2nd husband, Maurice L. “Pete” Thomas, March 14, 1994; two infant brothers, George and Joseph Pronesti; daughter-in-law, Kimberly (Wilde) DelSignore and great great granddaughter, Sophia Lepley. Survived by children; Patsy (DelSignore) , married to Merle “Pooch” Shaffer, Acosta; Anthony DelSignore, married to Lillian “Lou” Meyers, Sterling, VA; Victoria (DelSignore) , married to John Borosky, Jr., Jenner Township; Joseph DelSignore, Sebring, FL and Debra (Thomas) widow of Mark DeFlori, Acosta; 14 grandchildren; Christina, Melissa, Paulette, Anthony, Jr., Daniel, Angela, Nicole, Randy, Jared, Aaron, Jordon, Patrick, Theresa and Isaac; 13 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. Sister of Celestine, widow of Donald “Gov” Winovich and Mary Ann, widow of William Rector, both of MD, and numerous nieces and nephews. 1949 graduate of Boswell High School. Member of All Saints Catholic Parish and Boswell Lodge 1780, SOI. Longtime president to the Auxiliary’s of the Boswell Volunteer Fire Department and Boswell Post #461 , American Legion, having served many years until her recent illness. Democratic committee woman for Boswell Boro past 55 years and also served many years on the local election board. Also member of Prayer Shawl Ministries and The Four Seasons Club. Past employee of the former Dorfman and Hoffman garment factory. Special thanks to granddaughters, Christina and Melissa, who gave selflessly and tirelessly to help care for their grandmother during her illness. Also special thanks to Mike Kerch for his help over the years and to Windber Hospice, especially Danielle and Peggy for their exceptional care. Vickie was a kind and loving mother and grandmother who gave selflessly and was always there for her family and community. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She enjoyed reading, daily crossword puzzles, baking, time with her family, sharing stories, crocheting and making heirlooms for family and friends. Times traveling with her sisters were very special. She was very devout in her faith and truly loved the Lord. Viewing will be held 2PM until 8PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell, where Vigil For Deceased will be held Tuesday.
