MILLER – Vernon L., 75, formerly of Jerome, died August 29, 2020 at Meadow View Nursing Center, Berlin. Born August 4, 1945 in Jerome. Son of Walter J. and E. Leona (Custer) Miller. Preceded in death by parents and brother Walter James Miller. Survived by children Wendy, married to Eric Cathell, Millsboro, Del., Walter D. “Wally”, married to Brenda Stern, Seminole, Fl. and Russell J., married to Virginia Graham, Jerome; grandchildren Breanna, Cierra, Zack, Kalli, Holly, Drew, Payton and Pierce; sisters Darla, married to Calvin Thomas, Salisbury, MD and Janice married to Robert Yoder, Conemaugh Township and numerous other relatives and friends. Member of Former Jerome Lutheran Church, Jerome Post #802 American Legion, Somerset Post #181 American Legion, North Branch Hunting Club and the Jerome Volunteer Fire Department where he was past president. A 1963 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School, Davidsville. Vietnam Veteran, having served in the U.S. Air Force. Former Electrical Engineer of Bell and Howell and retired employee of the former Agway, Somerset. Private graveside service at a later date at Maple Spring Cemetery, Jerome, with graveside rites accorded by Somerset County Honor Guard.
