Obituary for Todd J. Sutton

SUTTON - Todd J., 71, Jenner Township, died February 22, 2022 at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh. Born April 22, 1950 in Syracuse, NY. Son of Harry and Jean (Harris) Sutton. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Kim Tyrrell; father-in-law, Samuel Turillo and pet dog, Smokey. Survived by wife of 37 years, Cynthia T. (Turillo) Sutton; daughter, Christina Pienkowski and husband Matthew; son, Scott Sutton; brothers, Kirk Sutton and wife Alice and Mark Sutton; mother-in-law, Patricia Turillo; sister-in-law, Jana Von Lunen and husband Mark; brothers-in-law, Joe Turillo and wife Angela and Mark Tyrrell; niece, Katie Tyrrell and nephews, Andrew Tyrrell, Matthew Von Lunen and wife Carolyn and Peter Von Lunen and wife Alyssa. Todd graduated from Mount Lebanon High School in Pittsburgh in 1968 and from Penn State University with a degree in accounting where he was a proud member of the Theta Delta Chi Fraternity. Following in a family tradition, he was also a proud Eagle Scout. He was a retired CPA, formerly employed by Palguta Yutzy & Co., Somerset and he operated his own CPA office in Boswell. He was also a partner with SYCO. Todd loved being with his family and friends and having fun. He enjoyed being outdoors and coming home to relax in his man cave. He was full of life. He laughed with his whole body, spoke his whole mind, and loved with his whole heart. The sorrow of his family and friends is a tribute to a life well lived, and one of few regrets. In honor of Todd, have a cigar, a bourbon, and listen to some Janis Joplin, as he would have wanted. Friends received 5-8PM Monday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell. Funeral Mass 11AM Tuesday at All Saints Catholic Church, Boswell with Rev. Fr. Aron Maghsoudi, celebrant. Committal Mt. Carmel Cemetery, near Jennerstown. Donations in Todd’s memory may be sent to Boy Scouts of America, Laurel Highlands Council, 500 Galleria Drive, Unit 180, Johnstown, PA 15904.
