HANES – Thomas D.,69, Quemahoning Township, died June 5, 2019 at home. Born January 15, 1950 in Johnstown. Son of Earl R. ‘Puppy’ and Olga A. (Kozola) Hanes. Preceded in death by father, sister Roberta A., brother , Cpl. Robert Lee Hanes, killed in action in Vietnam, July 2, 1967 and former wife, Therese (Horner). Survived by mother; son Thomas Tyler, Pittsburgh; brothers Richard W. married to Patricia, Boswell and Howard N. married to Patricia Lepley, Boswell and sister Heidi, Baltimore, MD Also survived by numerous other relatives. He was a graduate of former Forbes High School class of 1967 and a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam War. He was a retired coal miner. At Tom’s request there will be no viewing or service.
