Obituary for Tanner J. Friedline

FRIEDLINE – Tanner J., 22, of Gray, died November 8, 2020 doing what he loved – riding his dirt bike. Born April 19, 1998 in Johnstown. Son of Jeff Friedline and his wife Lori and Angie (Moudy) married to Steve Singo. In addition to his parents he is survived by fiancé Samantha Barron and his son Brantley Barron; siblings Jennifer married to Adam DeVine and Dylan Friedline; grandparents Wayne and Dixie Friedline and Linda married to Bob Keffer; uncle Mike married to Michelle Friedline and aunts BJ Moudy and Samantha Thomas and pet dog Dax. Preceded in death by grandfather Fred Moudy and great-grandparents Jay and Ida Belle Thomas and Ruth Regish. Tanner was a 2016 graduate of North Star High School where he played varsity football. Also a graduate of Somerset County Technical School. Employed by Swank Construction, Pittsburgh, building bridges on Interstate 70 with 1058 Laborers Union. He was a member of Ferndale Sportsmen. Tanner raced cars at Jennerstown Speedway where he won many races and was honored with Rookie of the Year in the Charger Division and placed 2nd in the Rookie of the Year in the state. His dream was to race dirt bikes and he was able to do that at the Latrobe Speedway this year where he was 2nd in points. He loved to hunt and had just gotten an elk in Montana. Tanner’s smile was contagious and he lit up any room he walked into. He will be greatly missed and loved forever. Viewing from 2-8PM Thursday at New Beginnings Outreach Center, 7398 Somerset Pike, Boswell with face coverings and social distancing. Please wear your favorite racing shirt. Flower deliveries should be sent to New Beginnings Outreach Center. A service will be held 11AM Friday at Jennerstown Speedway with Rev Kurtis L. Frampton presiding.
