SZYMANSKI – Sara Jane (Heiple), 88, Jennerstown, died February 27, 2020 at her home. Born April 16, 1931 in Jenner Township. Daughter of E. Elmer and Sadie (Weighly) Heiple. Preceded in death by parents; sisters Martha Daniels, Ruth Krompholtz, Emily Castellani and Cora Vish and brothers Fred and George Heiple. Survived by husband of 68 years Robert P. Szymanski; son Bruce R. and wife Christine, New Castle; daughter Debra S. married to Mark Anderson, Boswell; granddaughters Jesse Riesmeyer, Kara Szymanski married to Matt Bierman, Erin Szymanski married to Rob Bradley, Elizabeth married to Dan Catrambone and Connie Wynn; grandsons Michael Anderson and wife Erica, Trevor Anderson and wife Melinda and Troy Szymanski; 12 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1949 graduate of Boswell High School. Past employee of former Horner’s Store, Boswell and Jennerstown Post Office. Member of former St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Boswell, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset and Jennerstown Volunteer Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Sara enjoyed cooking and baking. She especially loved spending time at home surrounded by her family. Funeral Mass 11AM Tuesday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Somerset with Rev. Fr. Angelo J. Patti, Celebrant.
