VILLA - Ruth, 99, Johnstown, formerly of Jerome, died July 2, 2023 at Arbutus Manor. Born August 5, 1923 in Jerome. Daughter of John and Kathryn (Litaskas) Trachok. Preceded in death by parents; husband Stanley Villa, August 7, 1993; sisters Ann Stankan, Verna Syphrit and Genevieve Thomas and brothers Albert, Alvin and Richard Trachok. Survived by daughter Debra married to Gerald DeBiase, Windber; granddaughters Heather DeBiase, Pittsburgh and Beth DeBiase and fiancé Steve Beaupre, Winchester, VA. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A 1941 graduate of Conemaugh Township Area High School. Former member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Davidsville. Current member of St. Benedict Church, Geistown and SOAR, Johnstown Chapter. Ruth was very active in the Somerset County Democratic Party and in the campaign office for Congressman John P. Murtha. There will be a funeral mass 11AM Saturday, August 5th, 2023 at St. Benedict Church, Geistown with Fr. David S. Peles presiding.
