MISHLER – Ruth (Hunter), 88, of Boswell, formerly of Davidsville, died July 2, 2023 at Windber Hospice. Born March 27, 1935 in Central City. Daughter of Jacob and Madeline (Smith) Hunter. Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Harry Berkey and Jay Hunter; sister, Agnes “Mickey” Decker and granddaughter, Samantha Mishler. Survived by husband, Ray Mishler; children, Doug Mishler, Dennis Mishler and Danielle Mishler; grandchildren, Brandon, Misty and Tyler; 6 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; sister, Ann Hoffman and numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was a former teacher’s aide for St. David’s Lutheran Church preschool, Davidsville. Member of Maple Spring Church of the Brethren, Hollsopple. She enjoyed reading, gardening and spending time with her family and pet dog and companion, Trooper. The family would like to thank the staff at Windber Hospice for all their care given to Ruth.
