MAGGS – Ruth E. (Wain), 81, Hooversville (Pretoria), died July 21, 2019 at Arbutus Park Manor. Born September 22, 1937 in Johnstown. Daughter of Orville G. and Edna V. (Hannigan) Wain. Preceded in death by parents; husband John “Jack” on August 14, 2018; infant son Jeffrey Allen Maggs; daughter Saundra Maggs and brother Edward Wain. Survived by children Pamela married to Andrew DiSalvo, Huntingdon; John, Jr., married to Michelle (Toth) Maggs, Johnstown and Lori Maggs, Davidsville; grandchildren Angela married to Sam Thomas, Central City; Jeff Rector, Seanor and Sara Maggs, Johnstown; brothers Terry Wain and wife Sally, Ravenna, OH and Richard Wain and wife Brigida, Las Vegas, NV; brother-in-law George Ellis, El Paso, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. A 1955 graduate of former Forbes High School. Member of Hooversville Church of the Brethren and the Women’s Fellowship. Past employee of former Hollsopple Day Care. Ruth enjoyed reading, attending auctions and holding garage sales.
