DRUIST – Ronald J. “Ronie”, 40, Hollsopple, died January 14, 2023 as a result of an automobile accident. Born September 22, 1982 in Johnstown. Son of Ron and Betsy (Kaltenbaugh) Druist. Preceded in death by grandparents, Joseph and Virginia Druist and Clark and Violet Kaltenbaugh and special aunt Joni Kaltenbaugh. In addition to his parents, he is survived by brother, Ryan and his wife Angie and their children Easton and Gianna; sister, Rachel, and her husband Rich Niemiec; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins and pet dog Bert. Ronie was a 2001 graduate of North Star High School and attended IUP. He worked with his father in his contracting business and was also a self-employed contractor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing sports. He also enjoyed farming and had great love of animals. Ronie’s greatest gift was a gift of love and kindness. He wasn’t happy unless you were happy. He went out of his way to help those in need at any time, day or night, and asked for nothing in return. His last dime was yours, if you needed. His heart and love were immeasurable. Viewing from 2-8PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main Street, Boswell where a service will be held 11AM Friday with Rev. Fr.
