STAHL - Robert W., 76, of Soap Hollow, passed away March 4, 2024 at his home following a battle with cancer. Born March 13, 1947 in Johnstown the son of John Y. and Hannah (Cooper) Stahl. Preceded in death by parents and two infant sisters. Survived by wife of 49 years, Susan C. (Holder) Stahl; son, Matthew Stahl and his wife Stephanie and brother, John Stahl and his wife Karen. Bob was a 1965 graduate of Richland High School and a graduate of Paul Smith’s College in Saranac Lake, NY where he majored in forestry. He also graduated from the Lumber Grading School in Memphis, TN. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Vietnam Veteran’s of America, Chapter 364. He was employed as a Lumber Grader for more than 25 years and retired from Penn Highlands Community College custodial department. Bob enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Penguins and dirt track racing and working in his garden. The family would like to thank the nursing staff of Conemaugh Oncology and Rosalynn from Windber Hospice for the care given to Bob. Upon Bob’s request, there will be no viewing or service.
