SHAFFER - Robert "Bob", 51, Hooversville, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and son who went home to be with Lord, his 2 angel babies and his grandparents on October 28, 2021at UPMC Somerset. Born March 6, 1970 in Somerset. Robert leaves behind his mother Sherry (Winters) Shaffer and father Terry Shaffer; wife Jodi (Charlton) Shaffer; children Megan, Makaylee and Zachary and grandchildren Coltyn and Keegan. Robert was a proud father to not only his children but also the children he loved as his own, Josie and husband Jared Rigo and “grandson” Deacon. He also leaves behind Dan Vasos, who he called his brother. Robert was passionate about the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He instilled sportsmanship not only into his children but also into his nephews, Mykael, Tyler and Jeffrey. He worked at both Snyder’s of Berlin and Highridge Hunting for over 20 years. He was a member of the Jennerstown Community Sportsmen; Jenner Rod and Gun Club and Pheasants Forever. Robert will be remembered by many things, his hard work ethic, his willingness to always help others but most importantly he will be remembered by the love he gave his family. A visitation will be held Friday, November 5th from 3pm until time of service at 7:30pm at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 409 Main St, Boswell. Pastor Rigo officiating.
