OVERBECK - Robert L., 69, Somerset, died November 20, 2020 at Siemon’s Lakeview Manor after years of battling Parkinson’s disease and other illnesses. Born December 28, 1950 in Somerset. Son of Roy C. and Dorothy C. (Bowser) Overbeck. Preceded in death by parents and brother Tom. Survived by wife of 46 years Gail (Behon) Overbeck; daughter Missy Caudill; granddaughters Emily and Ally; brother Paul married to Monna (Stern); special “brother” Rudi Kolb and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A 1968 graduate of Jenner-Boswell High School. Served in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member of Frosty Sons of Thunder Company C 103rd Armor. Former supervisor for Crane Plumbing, Somerset and former Corrections Officer for the Somerset County Jail. Member of Grace United Methodist Church, Somerset. Bob enjoyed making knives and beef jerky and being outdoors. He especially liked to be with his family and friends. A memorial service and interment at IOOF Cemetery, Stoystown will be at a later date. Arrangements by Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Boswell.
