Obituary for Robert "Bob" Lottig

LOTTIG - Robert H. “Bob”, 72, of Friedens died on December 6, 2023 at home after battling the effects of epilepsy since 1984. Born September 17, 1951 in Somerset. Son of Herman and Annabelle (Kimmel) Lottig. Preceded in death by parents; infant sister; mother-in-law Annie Mikolich and father-in-law Joseph Mikolich; sister-in-laws Mary Piper and Donna Mikolich and brother-in-law Bob Piper. Survived by wife Patricia (Mikolich), whom he was married to for 48 years; daughter Melissa and fiancé Josh Klinkner; son Justin and wife Kimberly; grandchildren Benjamin Robert Lottig, and Stella Anne Lottig; brother Ronald and wife Sally; sister-in-laws Barb married to Bill Rosner, Shiela married to Patrick Ryan and Wanda married to Larry Yokopenic and brother-in-laws Joe Mikolich and wife Marge and Karl Mikolich. Also survived by many nieces and nephews and faithful companion Buddy. Robert graduated from Jenner-Boswell Joint High School in 1969. He attended a drafting trade school and worked for Penn Machine Company in Ferndale until his retirement. He hand built his home with help from many friends and family on the same property where his grandparents lived. He enjoyed helping others in need and loved hunting white tailed deer and rabbits with his son and friends. Bob also raised AKC registered beagles and enjoyed collecting and raising exotic pheasants from all over the world. He planted a full garden with sweet corn and potatoes each year to help feed his family and loved tending to his yard. The family would like to thank ViaQuest Hospice, especially Carol Martin, for their care. A service will be held 11AM on Saturday December 9th at Mount Laurel United Church of Christ, near Gray with Rev. Dr. James Stobaugh and Rev. Dr. Joseph Beer, presiding.
