Obituary for Richard E. "Mini" Manges

MANGES – Richard E. “Mini”, 73, Hooversville, died December 1, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born December 13, 1947 in Windber. Son of Eugene A. and Orpha R. (Repine) Manges. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, William “Raider” Manges. Survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Linda S. (Pugh) Manges; daughters, Heidi married to Ronald Lipera, Central City, and Sherri married to Josh Telenko, Jeannette; sons, Ralph Zorn, Glenco; David Zorn and wife Andrea, Marysville, and LaVan E. Zorn and wife Stacy, Mechanicsburg and brother Leroy Hyatt, Windber. Cherished “Pap” to his 8 grandchildren, LaVan L., Ryan, Seth and Amy Zorn, Larissa and Mackenzie Pile, Blake and Cole Telenko and 7 great-grandchildren. Richard was a 1965 graduate of Windber High School. He was a former truck driver for Fetterolf Mining for 15 years, a retired truck driver for Sleek Trucking with over 20 years of service, and a member of UMWA. He enjoyed watching sports on television and was especially proud to watch his grandsons play in their sports. Viewing from 5-7PM Tuesday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville where a service will be held 11AM Wednesday with Pastor Nila Cogan presiding. Interment St. Thomas Lutheran Cemetery, Hooversville, where he and his brother, William “Raider”, will also be laid to rest.
