MONK - Raymond C., Jr., 78, Jennerstown, died April 23, 2022 at his home. Born October 26, 1943 in Pittsburgh. Son of Raymond C. Monk, Sr. and Betty J. (Long) Monk. Preceded in death by parents and son Gregory Monk. Survived by wife and best friend of 47 years, Patricia A. (Cannone) Monk; daughter, Lisa Cannone, St Louis, MO; sons, Brian Cannone married to Michele (Jennings), Jennerstown and Jeffrey Monk and wife Catherine, Johnstown; beautiful granddaughter, Jaydon Reigh Cannone, daughter of Brian and Michele; sisters, Nancy Ryan, Pittsburgh and Mabel King, Floral City, FL and brother, Jimmy Monk, Pittsburgh. Ray was a U.S. Air Force veteran and was stationed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana. He retired as a Registered Respiratory Therapist from Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Ray was a longtime member of Ferndale Sportsman Club where he loved to fish. He was an avid hunter and could always be seen working in his manicured yard. He especially loved his family and two stepchildren Lisa and Brian. Spending time with his only grandchild, Jaydon Reigh, was the highlight of his day. Ray was a mild-mannered person who will be missed by all who knew him. A special thank you to Interim Hospice of Johnstown. At Ray’s request, there will be no viewing or service.
