KAPITAN - Pauline C. (DiMauro), 89, Davidsville, formerly of Jerome, died September 13, 2021 at Windber Hospice. Born November 23, 1931 in Johnstown. Daughter of Samuel and Mary (Negast) DiMauro. Preceded in death by parents; husband Calvin C. on February 10, 2009; brother Charles DiMauro and sisters Rose Klobcar and Helen Knupp. Survived by children, Mary Helen married to Ludwig Hruska, Richland; Patricia married to John Rullo, Davidsville; Christopher married to Holly (Wheeler), Jenners and Kathy married to James Frederick, Hollsopple; grandchildren, Michael Hruska and wife Amanda, Nikolaus Hruska and wife Annalisa, Jenna and husband Shawn Webb, Kelly DeAngelo and wife Jessica, Katie (DeAngelo) married to Patrick Williams, Christopher and Haden Kapitan, Ryan Frederick and wife Jennifer, Keri (Frederick) and husband Ryan Jones and Cristy Haberkorn; 17 great-grandchildren; sister Josephine married to Gene Spangler, Davidsville; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Janet Braude. Pauline was a waitress for former Alwine’s Dairy and was a caregiver for many people throughout the years. Member of St. David’s Lutheran Church, Davidsville. She enjoyed playing cards and bocci. She was a very active resident of Laurel View Village where she also served as a volunteer. Pauline was a devoted mother, grandmother and GiGi. Viewing from 2-6PM Thursday at Hoffman Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 109 Church Road, Davidsville. Family requests face coverings be worn during the viewing and funeral. Viewing also from 10AM until time of service 11AM Friday at St. David’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Faron Johnson and Pastor Wes Yoder presiding. Entombment Richland Mausoleum.
