HANES – Olga A. (Kozola), 101, of Stoystown, died September 30, 2023 at her home. Born February 24, 1922 in Stoystown. Daughter of the late Anthony and Gertrude (Vidmar) Kozola. Also preceded in death by husband, Earl R. “Puppy” Hanes; daughter, Roberta A. Hanes; sons, Cpl. Robert Lee Haines and Thomas Hanes; sister, Mary DeLost and brothers, Anthony and Rudy Kozola. Survived by children, Richard W. and wife Patty (Caldwell) of Boswell, Howard N. and wife Patricia Lepley-Hanes of Boswell and Mary R. “Heidi” Hanes widow of Terry Akin of Baltimore, MD; 5 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Olga enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, reading, doing word search puzzles and spending time with her family. Funeral services will be private.
