BEENER - Martha Ann (Blough), 80,formerly of Jenner Twp., Somerset Co., died January 25, 2020 at Richland Woods. Born October 16, 1939 in Conemaugh Twp., Somerset Co. Daughter of Stephen and Effie (Sala) Blough. Preceded in death by parents; husband of 34 years Charles D. “Chick” Beener on May 18, 1994; brother Virgil Blough and sisters Virginia Gindlesperger, Beatrice Eash, Betty Shaffer, Margaret Updyke and Almeda Lohr and special friend and companion Lee Shaffer. Survived by daughters Shari L. married Gary Ziegler, Somerset and Christy A. married to Gus Lesnevich, Enola; brother Frank Blough and wife Mona, Davidsville and numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws. A 1957 graduate of Conemaugh Township High School. Member of Laurel Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Jennerstown where she taught Sunday School for nearly 50 years and helped serve funeral meals. Former secretary for Jenner Area Sewer Authority with over 10 years of service. Longtime volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Martha enjoyed playing cards and reading.
