HARRISON - Margaret L. “Peggy” (Alwine), 91, longtime resident of Davidsville, passed away April 21, 2023 at Quality Life Services in Westmont (Westmont Woods). Born April 13, 1932 in Johnstown the daughter of Biran and Pauline (Fassett) Alwine. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband of 61 years, Oden “Odie” Harrison; sisters, Evelyn Tesauro, Doris Balster and Marylyn Harrison; brother, Robert and numerous brothers and sisters-in-law. Survived by children, Bob Harrison and wife Lorie, Jan and husband Tom Dworetsky and Bill Harrison and wife Laura; grandchildren, Megan and husband Kevin, Stephen, Garrett, Arielle, Kelcy, Dalton, and Eliza; great-grandchildren, Portia and Tatum; brothers-in-laws, Jack Harrison, Allan Harrison and wife Arlene and Bill Owens; sister-in-law, Joyce Harrison and numerous nieces and nephews. Peggy was a graduate of Westmont High School. She was a longtime member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Johnstown and a former employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp. Peggy adored her husband, children and grandchildren and was happiest when she was surrounded by her family. She loved to read, cook and spend quality time with her family and friends; her grandchildren were “Nanny’s” pride and joy. She also had a special bond and relationship with her sister Marylyn. Peggy’s memory will always be treasured and she will be sorely missed. Special thank you to Westmont Woods for their loving care over the past couple years. There will be no visitation. A private family interment will be held at Benshoff Hill Cemetery, Johnstown. Donations in Peggy’s memory may be sent to Quality Life (Westmont Woods) or Windber Hospice.
