Obituary for Margaret G. Coulter

COULTER - Margaret G. (Robertson), 91, Jennerstown, passed away November 25, 2021 at Arbutus Park Manor, Johnstown. Born December 16, 1929 in Jenners. Daughter of Harry and Lavina (Farley) Robertson. Preceded in death by parents; loving husband, Jack; brothers Harry, James, Harold, Robert and Edgar Robertson; sister Leila Trice; special brother-in-law, Ed Lynn Shaffer and sisters-in-law, Edna, Josephine, Anne and Bonnie Robertson and Shirley (James) Camp. Survived by children, Donald (Judy) Coulter, Jackie (Alan) Miller and Nancy (Paul) Donati; grandchildren, Don (Lisa), Jack (Christine), Mark and John (Michelle) Coulter, Lori Miller, Alan Miller, Sally (Randy) Walker, Joe (Stephanie) Donati, Gina (Craig) Ashbrook, Willis (Alicia), Phillip (Erin) and Eiler (Christan) McCall and Rachel (Nathan) Schlie; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Meghan, Noah, Zack, Alyvia, Bruston, Lexy, Cooper, Emma, Max, Manny, Preethi, Sonya, Derek, Claire, Anna, Abby, Samuel, Lydia, Elijah, Luke, Edith, Margret, William, Chloe, Emma, Amelia, Adeline, Benjamin, Miriam, Paul, Ruth and Esther; sister and best friend, Delores Shaffer, sisters, Carol (Joe) Poltrack and Lynn (Larry) Bock; sisters-in-law, Beverly Robertson and JoAnn (Larry) Curran and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret was a 1947 graduate of Boswell High School. Professionally, she was an Administrative Assistant and was very proud of her loan processing roles she had while she and Jack lived in northern Virginia during their empty nest years. Her favorite role of all was being a wife to Jack and a mom and grammie and great-grammie. Her hobbies included gardening, reading, quilting and cake decorating. Margaret made many of the children’s and grandchildren’s wedding cakes. She was a member of Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown. She shared her faith with her family by word and deed. The family would like to thank Arbutus Park Manor and Windber Hospice for all the love and care they gave to Margaret and her family. Viewing from 10AM until time of service 11AM Monday at Laurel Trinity Lutheran Church, Jennerstown with Margaret’s son Donald presiding. Interment Mt. Zion Cemetery.
